โThis drawing features the digestive system (specifically the stomach), Lisianthus flowers and butterflies.
The digestive system and espically the stomach can be a place of worry, doubt and anxiety. We feel truth in our gut. And our anxieties are meaningful. To be anxious about something is to be obsessed with it. If you have constant anxious thoughts about a topic itโs because, on some level, you are enjoying thinking about it.
Which is paired with the Lisianthus flower which offers calm and comfort. Send it to someone dealing with extra stress to help them keep their temporary challenges in perspective.
The butterfly symbolism works as a representation of resurrection, change, renewal, hope, endurance, and courage to embrace the transformation to make life better. If you have butterflies in your stomach or have butterflies, you are very nervous or excited about something.

In case you are new to this series, the Memento Mori drawings are about the duality of human nature; the nuance and subtlety of our seemingly conflicting emotions and how we will attempt to grieve and grow through the Coronavirus pandemic.
